When a job candidate today told me that Javascript will take over the WordPress framework, I nearly hit the ceiling! Javascript will take over? That’s not possible! I did a little digging. Matt Mullenweg has said it’s the future of WordPress, but PHP is not going anywhere. At the inaugural WordCamp US he advises developers, “Learn JavaScript, deeply.”
